As of a few years ago, you are no longer able to purchase 100 watt incandescent (traditional) light bulbs due to a recently passed Federal law. For the same reason, you have not been able to purchase any incandescent light bulbs in excess of 7 watts for any purpose since the end of 2010.

Fortunately, manufacturers have begun making two types of light bulbs that will replace the traditional incandescent light bulbs you will no longer be able to purchase that will fit and work in your lighting fixtures. You will only have to change the bulb type you are using and not the fixtures themselves.

The two types of low energy bulbs being manufactured now are CFU (compact fluorescent units) and LED (light emitting diode). Each of these bulb types have their own specific advantages over incandescent bulbs. They will last years before they need replacement and they will reduce your energy consumption from lighting considerably.
